Catapult is looking for an experienced Head of Sales for a permanent position with an immediate start.

  • The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative Head of Sales manager with a proven track record within an agency with international experience.
  • The Head of Sales key role is to develop and meet our client acquisition and revenue growth targets internationally and domestically.
  • The position is responsible for maximizing our sales potential, identifying and developing opportunities, crafting sales plans and delivering against sales targets and KPIs.
  • This is a management position, overseeing the entire sales operations collaborating with core members of staff across a variety of departments in both our Irish and US offices.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

  • Create and implement sales strategies that further the business objectives.
  • Highlight growth opportunities, sales improvements, product/service offering development.
  • Undertake detailed analyses of sales performance for the purpose of reporting sales strategy successes, weaknesses, and opportunities to the management team.
  • Drive enhanced revenue generation.
  • Develop weekly / monthly / annual and seasonal sales targets for the business.
  • Take overall responsibility for achieving targets.
  • Expand the client base.
  • Collaborate with the management team to set KPIs for the business.
  • Develop strategies for converting one off jobs into long term accounts.
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team.
  • Monitor, observe and identify new trends and client requirements to ensure the business has competitive advantage and is keeping ahead of the competition.
  • Collaboration with production and the wider business in creating product offerings that will drive sales and conversion.
  • Build and grow the Sales team over time – including recruiting, coaching and performance monitoring of team members.
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting client relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
  • Establish and build relationships with clients, vendors and suppliers.

Experience & Skills Required

  • The Head of Sales must have a master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Management, Business Administration, or any other related field. The equivalent of this in working experience is also acceptable for the position.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in a sales position within a fast-paced and dynamic business environment, preferably working in the position of a Senior Sales Manager.
  • Successful previous experience leading a sales team / function, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  • Proven ability to deliver and exceed sales KPIs
  • Experience evaluating product/market situations, analysing raw data and information, transforming it into actionable sales strategies and approaches.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
