Collaborating with the International Organisation of Migration (IOM) to facilitate vital conversations with global leaders has been an honour. Getting to see up close the work they do with intergovernmental and non-governmental partners on this crucial issue is inspiring.

IOM hosted the Global Diaspora Summit in Dublin. Held over 3 days this was a hybrid event, with ministers and delegates from the African Union, Jamaica, India, Fiji, Colombia, Bangladesh, and Senegal attending in-person, as well as virtual attendees from around the world.

We produced + broadcast this hybrid summit from the stunning surrounds of Dublin Castle’s St Patrick’s Hall. Also in attendance was the IOM DG, Antonio Vitorino, IOM DDG Ugochi Daniels, Peter Kwok, Chair of Global Diaspora Confederation and Mr Colm Brophy, TD, Irish Minister for Overseas Development Aid and Diaspora.

The summit emphasised the adoption of a common framework for the care and integration of migrants based on two fundamental principles: co-responsibility and humanity.
