Designing and producing the Business to Arts Awards for 15 years

Established in 1997, the Allianz Business to Arts Awards recognise excellence in Irish theatre and are the only national event that provides a platform across 14 categories of Irish theatre professionals. It’s their goal to applaud outstanding examples of business, arts, and arts organisations collaborating in areas such as sponsorship, commissioning, training and events, staff programmes, CSR initiatives, and community engagement.

They aim to honour creative partnerships that bring the arts and artists into mutually beneficial relationships across society.

Create // Showcase The Culture in Irish Society

The Allianz Business to Arts Awards is the largest arts and business networking event in the calendar. The brief was simple – design a set for the stage and manage all logistical aspects of the live awards ceremony at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre.

The Minister for Arts joins leaders from across business and the arts to highlight the cultural relationships that have helped benefit Irish society. Business to Arts chief executive Andrew Hetherington has said that nominations for each year’s awards increases significantly and represented €10 million worth of investment in the cultural sector in the past year. It was our job to create an experience that captured the essence of what they wanted to honour.

Experience // Lights, Camera, Action!

For the last 15 years, the creative events team has produced the Allianz Business to Arts Awards. We design the set for the stage, produce the awards night, and manage all aspects of the event for the team at Business to Arts.

Each year the stage design inspiration is taken for the custom designed awards by an Irish designer. The awards are announced live on the night and are intertwined with live performances throughout the evening.

At Catapult, we bring the best freelance lighting designers and stage managers together collaborate on this event for the not-for-profit organisation.

After the ceremony, guests are invited to have some food and a drink in the BGET lobby.
