The brief was to create a pop-up restaurant where guests were in complete darkness.
RARE by @lidlireland was an experience like no other. The experience begins in a pitch-black dining room where our servers, wearing night-vision goggles, were guided and assisted guests to their table. It was a journey that made guests re-evaluate their perception of taste, smell and touch.
We’ve worked with award-winning chef Gary O’Hanlon to create a mouth-watering menu which showcases the very best of our Bord Bia Quality Assured Irish beef. Guests awakened their senses in a very unique environment.
With 2 sittings per night, over 4 days, the event served 450 curious customers and had 12,500 people on the waiting list! There were lots of new challenges in this project so it took a great team to pull it off.
