To mark the launch of the all-new Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+, Catapult created created a first-of-its-kind Infinity Box at Dublin’s Grand Canal Dock 

CREATE // The Brief   

The Galaxy S8 represents the latest in smartphone innovation.  Working with Guns or Knives, an independent creative agency, and Samsung, Catapult were asked to create and produce the Samsung Infinity Box.  

The challenge was to create a fully immersive 360 Audio Visual experience.  From the outside, the Box reflected its surroundings and blended in.  Inside, the experience needed to blur the lines between technology and reality. 

EXPERIENCE  // End to End Journey

Catapult were tasked with building the entire experience, from build, to curation of custom audio visual content, from technological integration, to customer journey. The new S8 started the experience, triggering cameras in the room to map your movement live. Then once instructed, the custom content kicked in creating a 360 degree roller coaster! Mirrored surfaces on the floor enhanced the users perspective, visuals further played with this warping perceived reality. All elements were programmed by our in house technicians to ensure a seamless experience, from lighting levels, to kinect technology to video cues.  

The 4 walls of LED screen made up a 5 million pixel display, taking 4 days to build
